Ryder Cup 2016
When it comes to history it’s hard to top Hazeltine. It has stood host to every important US golf tournament; US Open, PGA Championship, US Senior Open, US Women’s Open, and the US Amateur. And now it will host the Ryder Cup.
Scotscraig Golf Club, being the 13th oldest course in the world, has a very illustrious history.

The Edzell Golf Club was first laid out by Bob Simpson, and opened in 1895. Later the design has been updated by James Braid.
Four golf clubs in one
Monifieth Medal is a wonderful little course, a few miles south of the more famous Carnoustie. Here, as with many of the courses in the area, there are several golf clubs, all playing on the same land.
Hogan's training course
Panmure, as so many of the clubs in the area, is laden with history. The club formed in 1845, laid out the first nine holes at Monifieth. After various changes, an 18 hole layout, now the Monifieth Medal Course, was agreed upon and completed in 1880

Montrose Golf Links is currently the fifth oldest golf course still in use in the world, some even say the second oldest.
Where rubber meets the... golf
The Gunung Raya Golf Club is located at the foot of the majestic Celebration Mountain (Gunung Raya) on the island of Langkawi on land that was previously a rubber plantation.
A world Top-100 course
Designed by Ted Parslow and opened in 1992, the course was redesigned starting in 2011 by Ernie Els and reopened in December 2014, as the third Els Club (the others are The Els Club Copperleaf in South Africa and The Els Club Dubai).
